Mature rosette to 60cms diameter x 35cms. high. Green soft leaves with random pale yellow striations. Erect central spike of rosy red bracts to 1 metre tall, with numerous shorter side branches ("paddles"). 'Wardell Lights' is a vegetative sport off plain green x Vrieslandsia 'Inca Chief's Spear', but it's unknown exactly where this variegate developed. Images here are of Pat Welburn's specimen. Reg.
