Breeder unknown, but imported from Germany by Ede Schaefer in Adelaide, Australia prior to 1984. Butcher said, "Medium sized plant w/branched spike like 'Komet' - even Samyn was impressed!" - M. Kellett (Raemaur Nursery, Victoria) said, "Best described as a very vigorous 'Komet' w/a much branched inflorescence - Pinckert of Germany and Samyn of Belgium said, 'Almost certain it is the original 'Komet' but grown to a more mature physiological state' - Butcher said also that this was the best 'Komet' he had seen, and that it consistently produces branched inflorescences"..
