(Other cv. = 'Fire Rose') - Form and coloration of the erythrodactylon parent w/an inflorescence intermediate to the parents in rich red-purple w/purplish shading - small plant usually flowering in March - Bromeliad Treasury said, "A 12"-15" upright arched rosette of 1-3/4" x 12" medium green glossy leaves w/purple tinted bases - sturdy scape supports a single 4" x 7" spike w/bright purple bracts that are slightly separated and hooked upward at the tips resembling a cockatoo's crest - bright yellow flowers".
