VRIESEA ‘Tachete Gold’ unknown, Little R * ?

Received by Pinegrove Nursery NSW, AU as a batch of plants called Vr. platynema hybrids in 1985. When in a group or grown under different cultural conditions no one could distinguish one from another by name if they were all given different names and it was decided to give them one name --‘Tachete Gold’ because of the yellowish floral bracts with dark spots. (Tachete from the French ! ). While it has V. platynema traits there seems to be some link to V. fosteriana. Mature rosette to 75cms. diameter x 1.2 metres tall in spike. Reg Doc. R. Little 4/2011.
Country of origin: NSW Australia

Seed Parent: platynema Pollen Parent: fosteriana?
