TILLANDSIA ‘Endler’ | ? / Luiz Varella* | ? | |
Named by Luiz Filipe Klein Varella in honour of his fellow collectors, his wife Luciana Endler and her brother Marcos Endler, for plants they have found in several locations in Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil. The plants appear to be natural hybrids between T. geminiflora and T. stricta . It is possible that with further field work they may be treated at species status and be published accordingly. The plants themselves are about 20-25cm in diameter and 16-18cm high. The fertile part of the inflorescence is 8-10cm long with purple petals. Reg. Doc. 12/2017 by D Butcher.
