TILLANDSIA ‘Holm's Snow Queen’ Holm B. 2004

Mature plant 15 cm. in diameter x13 cm. high. Growth habit like a typical T. streptocarpa but with pure white flowers (1,5 cm. in diameter). This species variant has been on the market for a couple of years now as 'streptocarpa "alba"x "alba'". German grower Burkhard Holm got two different, both white flowering T. streptocarpa between 1990 and 2000 from two persons (Hase and Seidel). It's not known if Burkhard got those clones as already flowering or just as 'normal' T. streptocarpa but which later produced white flowers. In 2004 Burkhard got seeds from crossing the two species variants and the majority of the progeny produced white blooms again. He repeated crossing amongst the progeny and so he built up a stock of white flowering T. streptocarpa. Reg. Doc. 7/2017 by T Richter.
