Mature, small compact rosette to 10 cm.. diameter x to 12cm. high. Straight, sharp-pointed, stiff green-burgundy leaves, densely stacked. In cross-section, the leaves are triangular-shaped. During the blooming stages, the foliage turns slowly to orange-red with glowing yellow centre. Finally, when fully-developed the foliage turns scarlet with mauve flowers.
