TILLANDSIA ‘Linda Cathcart’ Tropiflora / Takizawa H* 1996

Mature open rosette to 43cms. diameter x 15cms. high. Thin, grey-green, channeled, arching leaves flushed red and longitudinal fine yellow striations.The foliage can develop orange/yellow tones in strong light and with restricted feeding. Semi-recessed cluster of violet tubular flowers. This variegated sport was discovered in Tropiflora Nursery, Sarasota, Florida in 1996. The original wild stock of this so-called T. capitata "rubra" clone was collected in Oaxaca State, Mexico in 1990 by Dennis & Linda Cathcart, Alfredo Lau Siemers Jnr. Capitata Group. Reg.
