TILLANDSIA ‘Fuego Yellow’ | Berg W * | ||
Mature rosette to 15cms. diameter. A wild-collected sport of T. 'Fuego' . Grey-green inner leaves blush bright yellow at blooming, with pale purple flowers. In the 1990s, Florida grower and collector Wally Berg discovered this sport among thousands of T. 'Fuego', originally collected somewhere in Guatemala. In February, 2000 this plant went from Wally Berg to Hiroyuki Takizawa in Japan, where it is still cultivated. This mutation has not been rediscovered in habitat. Ionantha Group. Reg.
