NEOREGELIA ‘Skotak's Tiger’ ? / Chester Skotak,*

Mature,large, upright, open rosette to 60cm. diameter x 40cm. high. Black-spined, broad, bronze green to coppery red leaves with partial sepia red, punctated cross-banding and sometimes black-blotched leaf tips. . Possibly a different species form of N. carcharodon or N. pascoaliana. Found in an Orchid Nursery in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, but probably from nearby forest. Originally in Register as 'Tiger' but name amended to differentiate from other registered cultivars with the word "Tiger" as part of their cultivar name. Carcharodon Group. Reg. Doc. 12/2002
