Mature, large rosette to 1 metre diameter x 70cm high, Broad, black-spined leaves to 15cm wide, In shade, green foliage marginated creamy pink with faint silver cross-banding on the reverse. In strong light, scurfed bronzed green / pink with neon pink margins and rounded sepia red tips. This cultivar doesn't flower easily, but produces pups every now and then throughout its life and eventually forms a short thick stem.. This bulky cultivar is wide- spread in South Africa, It was a seedling from Chester Skotak, sent to Michaels Bromeliads (Florida) and from there sold under parentage to the late Ray Chandler of South Africa.
