Urn-shaped, flat rosette, 60cm. wide x 25 cm. high when grown in strong light. Dark red leaves adorned with lemon-lime splotches that are denser on the under side and at the base. The red hue appears as a marbled filigree pattern when viewed from below. The leaves bear prominent, densely arrayed spines and are spear-shaped with recurved, upturned leaf tips that pinch in at the apex. Named after the Ancient Greek army word 'Phalanx', in honour of the tightly packed, uniform spines and spear-shaped leaf tips. Grex sibling = N. 'Phenomena'. Reg. Doc. 12/2023.
