Mature small rosette to12 cm diameter x 15 cm. high. In strong light, many narrow, yellow-green leaves with dense, punctated , mahogany cross- banding with short stolons. Named as a memorial tribute to Bill Vilders, founder and long-time President of the Southeast Michigan Bromeliad Society . Willem is the Dutch variant of his name and many people knew him by both "Bill" and Willem". Bill had a particular fondness for miniature bromeliads. Ampullacea Group. Reg. Doc. 6/2016.
