Mature rosette to 60cms diameter.. Grey-green to bronzed orange leaves with black tips, each to 12cm wide, heavily speckled and spotted dark purple in the rosette centre. Heavy, black spined margins with dusty scurfing both sides of leaves. Maintains a chunky, upright form in strong light and with restricted feeding. Seed grown in New Zealand from cross made in South Africa. Named after a character in the animated movie 'The Lion King', in honour of its African origin.
