Mature upright, vase-shaped rosette to 40cms. diameter x 45cms. high. A wild-collected form of N. cruenta formerly found in Pedra do Pontal, Rio de Janeiro where it grew in full sun on rocks and sand. The stiff leathery leaves are pale greenish-yellow suffused with red speckles and a red veneer from the tips inwards. The leaf tips are red.
