Mature stocky rosette to 40cms. diameter. Pinkish/ yellow median stripes on bronze green, obverse foliage, lightly spined and flecked pale red. Leaf tips have bright pink "fingernails". Pinkish grey/green obverse leaves with fine, pale silver crossbands. Light purple petals in a recessed, pincushion-type nest. Reputedly a variegated form of Neoregelia spectabilis, widely-grown since at least the 1970s, origin uncertain. Possibly a hybrid and named after Jaffa oranges, as foliage can have these tints in strong light.. This cultivar has been linked to pioneer Florida grower Mulford Foster who often bred with this species. Reg. Doc. 11/2013. by G..Lawn. Country of origin: ?
