NEOREGELIA ‘Blast Off’ ? / Beach E* <2005

Mature rosette to 40cms. diameter. Possibly N. carolinae hybrid. Emanated from Rafael Oliveira, Brazil but origin unknown. Highly variable (unstable genes ?) growth ,flowering and foliage patterns. Blooming central flush may be white or rasberry or combinations or it may not bloom at all, but make a central crested raspberry pink rosette crown which can be propagated. Leaves can be white tipped, crossbanded green/white/pink or marbled. Normal basal or leaf axil pups are produced. Named 'Blast Off' because of the tubular formation which can pop out of the centre.
