GUZMANIA ‘Herb Kleins Sheila’ Olive Tree Greenhouses / Lynn Hudson* <2006

Mature, upright rosette to 35cm. diameter x 50cm. tall in bloom. Arching, glossy dark green leaves. Erect spike of flaring creamy pink scape bracts and fine red longitudinal lines with mid-green tips and whitish flowers Named by Cairns, Queensland grower Lynn Hudson who imported it to Australia in 2006 from Olive Tree Greenhouses, California who had this oddity, thought to be a vegetative sport off an unidentified Guzmania stock line. Herb Klein was an employee there at the time, who was fascinated by the Aussie term "Sheila". Reg. Doc. 3/2014 by Lynn Hudson. .
