Mature, open rosette to 25cm. diameter in strong light. Recurving, scurfed, reddish maroon leaves tapering to a point. Frosted white, triangular marginal spines. This cultivar is named after the Japanese mountain named Hotakadake which the breeder climbed in 2019, together with some Dyckia friends. Reg. Doc. 2/2020 by Arthur Ong.
