Mature, open large rosette to 60cm diameter of a radial, round symmetry. Foliage is 12-14 wavy leaves per rosette, tapering to narrow / long lanceolate shape 4cm. wide. Margins are finely serrated with small dense spines. Initially growth is upright but flattens with maturity. Leaf blades have pronounced crenulations and base colours are dark brown tending to black with pronounced irregular silvery white cross-banding, predominantly to the centre of the leaf blades. The foliage reverse has a dense layer of trichomes giving a whitish grey appearance. At blooming is a central cluster of white non-fragrant flowers. Offsets are produced from the leaf axils.
