CRYPTANTHUS ‘Royce Ann’ Pahapay, Zelpha 2019

Mature, open, rounded, medium-sized rosette of about 7 nearly-spineless leaves, to 12" (30cm.) . diameter. Wavy, undulating leaves, smoothly-serrated, are narrower in the outer, immature, dark maroon, slightly glossy foliage with.central depressed channels. Inner leaves are broader, lanceolate to 2" ( 5cm.) wide, emerald green with light maroon edges and a central maroon longitudinal stripe per leaf with some spaced, rippled, silvery white cross-banding. In cross-section the leaf tips turn down. The growth habit for a single rosette is fairly flat, moreso at blooming with a central cluster of white flowers. Pups emerge from the lower leaf axils. Reg.
