BILLBERGIA ‘Grande’ Kashkin, M.* 1960s

cv. of an unknown hybrid formerly labelled 'Gerda' throughout the USA - A medium loose rosette in plum and black - this is clearly a mistake - in the late 70's this plant was found at Lotusland in Los Angeles labelled 'Grande' and represented as a hybrid w/Neoregelia 'Grande' which it is probably not. The name 'Grande' is proposed to identify this dark plum colored cultivar and eliminating confusion with the Foster cultivar 'Gerda'.
