Mature open, large rosette to 40cm. wide. Initially growth is compact and flattened with leaves 8-10, each tapering to a narrow, long, lanceolate shape, 4-5cm. wide. Leaf margins finely serrated with medium undulated edges. Leaf base colour dark brown, the upper surface with wide, irregular banding of dense, silver-grey trichomes extending the full width of the leaf and somewhat thicker along the centre median. Foliage reverse has a uniform dense layer of silvery trichomes giving a matt grey appearance. Inflorescence bears a central cluster of white non-fragrant flowers.
