Mature, open large rosette to 60cm. diameter. Arching, brown-spined, pinkish tan stiff leaves (to 3cm. wide). Erect, frosted red stem (to 25cm. high) with a roundish, red-segmented pineapple fruit to 5cm. diameter which is fibrous but not sweet-tasting. A spiny sport found in the seedlings grex.
