TILLANDSIA ‘Aurora Verde’ ? / P Pacharapong* 2007

Mature rosette to 35 cm. diameter x 60cm.tall in spike. Silvery grey-green chaneled arching leaves, tapering to a point. Erect inflorescence, distinct from the normal by having over 20 greenish white floral bracts in the upper leaf axils (as opposed to the normal 10-12 pink / orange foliacious bracts in other clones), from which emerge tubular purple flowers and white stigmas /stamens. Wild-collected cultivar of T. rhodocephala discovered by Gary Hammer at an unrecorded location in Mexico. Reg. Doc. 6/2017 by Pachara Orchids,Thailand.
