NEOREGELIA ‘Agra Dos Reis’

Plant imported to Australia from Brazil under this name in the 1980’s and is closely linked to N. burle-marxii subspecies meeana but as the name indicates it comes from Rio de Janeiro State rather than Serra do Mar in Sao Paulo. Although a similar size to this subspecies it has a lighter blue centre than shown for this subspecies and this clone seems better identified as a cultivar. Reg Doc by Derek Butcher 2/2014
