"Variegated sport of C. acaulis 'Roseus' (syn. var. ruber) discovered in 1981 by Ton Koning in his Novio Nursery, Nijmegen, Netherlands and later marketed by Novio. Names Le Rey and Koning (both mean the King). Ref: Crypt. Soc. Journal 24:1, 20-23 (Jan.-Mar.2009)" - Small, grey-green leaved rosette to 15cm. diameter, marginated soft pink even in low light plus occasional random longitudinal pink stripes, waving undulation, moreso at the slightly-spined edges and with down-turned tips.
