Genus: OchagaviaOchagavia is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus is named for Sylvestris Ochagavia, Chilean minister of education. Endemic to southern and central Chile (including the Juan Fernandez Islands), where they grow terrestrially in rocky and coastal regions, this genus is represented by four species only.Number of accepted species in this genus is 4 (source: species counts in the Encyclopaedia of Bromeliads). |
