Genus: HohenbergiopsisHohenbergiopsis is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus name is from the genus Hohenbergia and the Greek word opsis (resembling) because it resembles the genus Hohenbergia. It contains only one known species, Hohenbergiopsis guatemalensis, native to Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Guatemala.Number of accepted species in this genus is 1 (source: species counts in the Encyclopaedia of Bromeliads). |
