Genus: Fosterella

Fosterella is a genus of the subfamily Pitcairnioideae. The genus is named after Mulford B. Foster, American horticulturist and Bromeliaceae collector (1888-1978). Most species are native to central and western South America, where they mainly grow terrestrially in forest understories.
