Genus: EdmundoaEdmundoa is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus is named for Edmundo Pereira, Brazilian botanist (1914-1986) and was recognized as an independent genus in 1997, the three species being grouped earlier within Canistrum. They are endemic to the southeastern Atlantic Forest regions of Brazil.Number of accepted species in this genus is 3 (source: species counts in the Encyclopaedia of Bromeliads). |
