Genus: Edmundoa

Edmundoa is a genus of the subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus is named for Edmundo Pereira, Brazilian botanist (1914-1986) and was recognized as an independent genus in 1997, the three species being grouped earlier within Canistrum. They are endemic to the southeastern Atlantic Forest regions of Brazil.
