Hi Don and all,
Very interesting Don, Personally thought that most of California would
be a bit cool though your climate appears similar to my climate.
I live 20miles west of the town 'Byron Bay'(coastal small town), on the
East coast of Australia In the north east region of the state of New
South Wales.
We get some frost though only about a week of frost in winter and warm
humid summers . (Warm temperate climate)
The reason for this information is that I like growing broms from seed
and want to produce seed of plants that have a wide tolerance of
temperature and climate, also have lots of colour, relatively thornless
and suitable for pot culture. Currently am growing seed of many of the
Neoregelia like Neoregelia scarlet charlotte, Neo. medusa, Neo Grace etc
inorder to produce a generation of thornless large flowerng compact
neoregelia also dwarf viresia and guzmania hybrids.
