Thankyou all for the info,

have been told conflicting information and your answers agree with what
I previously felt.

derek love your teachers answer. :-)

has looked at several links on the fcbs.org and obviously didnot find
the apropriate page.. silly me :-[

I enjoy growing bromeliads from seed and in many cases like to produce
the species (true to form).

This question is aimed at Australian growers. are there several clones
of Billbergia alphonsi joannis in Australia? or any known source of seed?
