[GrowRR] Broms and lead

My neighbors are preparing their house for a new paint job and there is 
a likelihood that much of the old paint on this house is lead based.
Though the building will be draped in black mesh there is no guarantee 
that the lead paint being scraped off will not blow over onto my 
bromeliads.

Is lead as deadly to bromeliads as copper?
Suggestions on  how to proceed? I have no place to move the plants 
closest to the neighbor's.
