Barret Bassick has come up with 'Hair pups' as a term used in California 
for those seedling-like offsets you sometimes see in saxicolous Tillandsias 
etc. It has yet to be used in the Journal Brom. Soc so it may be localised 
in California. Has anyone else come across this term? It may be more 
accurate to call them grass pups but I would be intrigued as to what others 
may call them  The Germans use a term similar to kindel sprossen (Germans 
please excuse my German!) which I translate to be baby offset.
