Just where and when did we start using the word pups for offsets? It isn't 
in the common Dictionary! It may even have started with Cactus where you 
can get cuttings and pups too. Was it an Aussie invention or was it the 
Americans or even the Brits?  Why do we use the same word? Some anatomical 
US slang words are different to Aussie ones causing embarrassment at times. 
We know the Hawaiians are different with their keikis.
Could it be that mother was a bitch to grow? So comments please. I am 
intrigued.
