Hi John,
I got your name and e-mail address off the bsi website. Here is my question.
My son is a highschool student and actively inolved in his school's ag
department. Our ag department is state of the art. In fact many schools from
around the state come to our ag department to visit. We are located in Berks
County Pennsylvania. I have a question for you. Do you offer student discounts
for memberships to your club. My son has been put in charge or greening up the
greenhouse in the ag department. He abosolutely loves bromeliads (spelling?)
and is hoping to fill the green house with many different varieties. He also
is starting a library in the ag department for bromieliads. So he wants to
join your organization to supply the ag department with what they need regarding
bromeliads. Please let me know if you give student membership discounts. it
would greatly be appreciated.
thanks
Ellen Johnston
With all due respects, The Bromeliad Society International does not offer
Student discounted Memberships. It is an interesting idea, Student Memberships!
Perhaps we can discuss this issue at our Board Meeting in May.

I have forwarded your email to the members of our "Round Robin." You did not
include your mailing address, but perhaps many of our members could send a
plant or two, to help "Green-Up" the greenhouse. If any of our members contact
you, which I expect them to do, individually, you will need to supply the
appropriate address information. This will be on a "one-to-one" basis only.

If you would like further BSI Membership information please contact me.

Yours truly,
