[GrowRR] Just a little test...

There has been some question on the BROM-L list as to whether the
GrowRR at bsi.org list is functioning correctly. This is just a test
message to verify that things are in order.
Additionally, living in Florida (you know - the state with the "Kick me"
sign on its back aka Hurricane Alley) I've had a couple of near misses
with some mean women named Frances and Jeanne. We were just below the
southern edge of the eye wall as these two storms came ashore and had
quite a bit of re-landscaping around our place with trees and limbs down
everywhere. No structural damage but the yard is a mess.
I noticed this weekend that my bed of Billbergia pyramidalis 'Kyoto' is
blooming again. This bromeliad normally blooms mid-summer (the common
name is "summer torch"). Our bed did its blooming during the expected
time but now seems to have flushed out into a full second set of blooms.
It looks like all of the full or nearly full sized plants that didn't
bloom the first "normal" time are in bloom at the moment. I don't
remember this happening in previous years. Has anybody else experienced
this?
