[GrowRR] Vriesea platystachys

Observant ones.
I have been discussing this plant with John Arden as to where it came from
and what is it?
It is in the Bromeliad Cultivar Register linking it to David Barry
suggesting it is a cultivar. For the last 30 years it has been on the
Seidel nursery (In Brazil) catalogue as a species.It has never been described.
Perhaps there is a Brazilian reader who can help because the Seidels find
it hard to understand my Aussie English!
