[GrowRR] Distilled and RO problems

When i soak my tillandsia in distilled or RO water actually leeach the minerals out from the plant? I've read that using distilled water is actually good for my plants but i do have my worries if the plants actually lose nutrients when i soak them in distilled or RO water.
