As far as I am concerned you should not see mealy bugs on Broms. If you had
said cactus and succulents then I would have commiserated with
you.Bromeliads need air air air. You do not say where you live because
prevailing climatic conditions can tell one a lot about what problems are
likely to occur. I only seem to get what we call vinegar flies here in OZ
when seed raising and I try to get rid of them pretty smart. With adult
plants I don't worry.
