Benetay,
Let us assume that your T. "inca gold" is the same as T. "kashkin", as
suggested by Derek Butcher on the fcbs site. If that is the case, it grows with
no attention whatsoever here in Adelaide, Australia. Our climate is similar to
southern California. I leave it outside all year under low-level shadecloth. It
does not mind the cold wet winters or the fiercely hot dry summers providing I
give it a weekly wetting. It also multiplies readily, forming a decent-sized
clump within two or three years.
My guess is that it would tolerate cold more than it would the high humidity of
southern Florida, say. We do not know the actually history of this plant, but
it most certainly has origins in Peru or Bolivia. But we do know that some
plants from the high altitudes of Bolivia do not like southern Florida weather,
but thrive on southern California weather.
Does that help?
Regards, Len Colgan.

Subject: [GrowRR] Tillandsia 'Inca gold'/
Hi all
Currently i've got myself an inca gold but i don't find any information on how
to take good care of it. There isn't any information. I've notice that this
inca gold is none other then Tillandsia Kashkin and yes there isn't any solid
information on them. I'll like to ask if anybody can provide some information
for me.
Thanks a lot. Your replies are greatly appreciated.

Benetay.
