Felicity, There are numerous photos in the best book BLOOMING BROMELIADS by the Baenchs.  Coniferous is included. You can get it from TGropifloria I think or borrow it from your local Bromeliads Society.  Florida has a great bromeliad info site as well. Go to fcbs.org or bsi.org.
