Uncle Derek,
I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and I'm embarrassed to express
my ignorance, but I thought Tillandsia usneoides was the one flowering plant
that never has roots. It is a common tree epiphyte here and, of
course, you never see any with roots. Do the seedlings start out with
primordial roots and then loose them at a certain age?
